Coastal Business Life magazine debuted in January 2005, the culmination of a team effort to bring an entertaining, informative monthly business magazine to the Grand Strand that explored not only area businesses and the issues important to them but also the people who make up the fabric of the business world, who eat, shop, work and play in the coastal Carolinas. The magazine is delivered to the decision makers in businesses in the closely-knit communities throughout Horry and Georgetown counties in South Carolina and Brunswick County in North Carolina. They are the people in the workforce with buying power, making decisions every day on purchases large and small for both their businesses and their homes. Our readers care about finance, infrastructure, business etiquette, promotions and many other subjects, including education, the environment, the arts, healthcare and insurance, animals and home repairs. The background and experience of our staff is impeccable, with many years on the national level in sales, writing and design. We all have a very high standard to meet: Our overriding goal is to make each issue of Coastal Business Life better than the one before it. And we’ll do it with honor and integrity, both in sales and editorial. We don’t compete against anyone except ourselves, and we hold ourselves accountable to our readers and our advertisers. It’s a lot of work—and it’s a joy. Linda Webber, Publisher
